AusPet Industry Expo – Attendee Terms & Conditions

 By registering for and attending the AusPet Industry Expo (“Event”), you agree to the following terms and conditions set by the organiser, the Pet Industry Association Australia (PIAA).

1. Registration and Entry

Attendance is subject to successful registration and confirmation by the organiser.

The Event is a business-to-business (B2B) trade event and is intended for industry professionals only.

The organiser reserves the right to approve, decline, or revoke any registration at its discretion.

Attendees may be required to provide proof of business affiliation or industry involvement.

2. Event Access and Conduct

Attendees must wear their official Event badge at all times while on-site.

Badges are non-transferable and must not be shared with others.

Attendees agree to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully toward exhibitors, staff, and other attendees.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee engaging in inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour.

3. Commercial Conduct

Attendees must not engage in unauthorised selling, solicitation, or promotional activities within the Event.

Only approved exhibitors and sponsors may promote products or services on-site.

Any business discussions or transactions conducted at the Event are solely between the parties involved and are not the responsibility of the organiser.

4. Photography and Media

By attending the Event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded.

The organiser may use this content for marketing, promotional, and reporting purposes without compensation.

If you do not wish to be included, you must notify the organiser in writing prior to the Event.

5. Privacy

Personal information collected during registration will be used for Event management, Exhibitor Activities, communication, and industry engagement purposes.

By attending, you may receive communications from the organiser related to the Event and future industry updates.

Attendees may choose to share their details with exhibitors (e.g. via badge scanning); this is optional and at the attendee’s discretion.

6. Health and Safety

Attendees agree to comply with all venue and organiser health and safety requirements.

You must not attend if you are unwell or pose a risk to others.

The organiser reserves the right to implement additional safety measures as required.

7. Event Changes or Cancellation

The organiser reserves the right to amend the Event program, dates, times, or venue if required.

In the event of cancellation or postponement, attendees will be notified as soon as practicable.

The organiser is not liable for any costs incurred by attendees, including travel or accommodation expenses.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the organiser is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience arising from attendance at the Event.

Attendees participate at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings.

9. Intellectual Property

All Event content, branding, and materials remain the property of the organiser or respective owners.

Attendees must not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use Event materials without prior written consent.

10. Animals

  • Animals are not permitted at the Event.

  • The only exception is for authorised assistance animals (e.g. guide dogs or certified support dogs) accompanying a person with a disability.

  • Assistance animals must be appropriately trained, under control at all times, and compliant with relevant regulations.

  • The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or request removal of any animal that does not meet these requirements.

 11. Security and Bag Checks

For safety and security, bags may be subject to inspection upon entry.

Prohibited or dangerous items must not be brought into the Event.

12. Loss, Theft or Damage

The organiser is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Attendees are responsible for safeguarding their belongings at all times.

13. Third-Party Activities and Products

The organiser does not endorse or guarantee any products, services, or claims made by exhibitors or sponsors.

Attendees engage with exhibitors at their own discretion and risk.

14. Data Capture and Lead Scanning

Attendees acknowledge that exhibitors may collect contact details via badge scanning or other methods.

By consenting to share your details, you agree to be contacted by that exhibitor.

The organiser is not responsible for how third parties use attendee data.

15. Force Majeure

The organiser is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellation due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or public health events.

16. Code of Conduct

The Event is a professional environment. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Breaches may result in immediate removal without refund.

17. Entry Refusal Rights

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person at its sole discretion to protect the safety, integrity, and commercial intent of the Event.

18. Amendments to Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will apply at the time of attendance.

19. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and attending the Event, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
