AusPet Industry Expo SE Asia Pet Fair Promotion (NSW)‍ ‍

Promoter: Pet Industry Association of Australia Ltd (ABN 47 001 782 770)

Address: PO Box 7108 Baulkham Hills BC NSW 2153

‍ ‍

‍ ‍1. Promoter

The promoter is Pet Industry Association of Australia Ltd (ABN 47 001 782 770), of PO Box 7108 Baulkham Hills BC NSW 2153 (Promoter).

‍ ‍2. Promotion period

The promotion starts at 9:00am AEDT on 2 September 2026 and ends at 4:00pm AEDT on 3 September 2026 (Promotion Period).

Entries will only be accepted for qualifying orders placed during the Promotion Period at the AusPet Industry Expo 2026 at Hordern Pavilion, Entertainment Quarter, 1 Driver Ave, Moore Park NSW 2021, Sydney. Registered attendees are provided with an AusPet Industry Expo passport, and qualifying orders are issued with a stamp.

‍ ‍3. Eligibility

Entry is open to Australian businesses operating in the pet industry (including retailers, groomers, breeders, suppliers and service providers) that are registered attendees of the AusPet Industry Expo 2026 (Eligible Entrants).

Employees, officers and directors of the Promoter, AusPet Industry Expo organisers, and participating exhibitors (and their immediate families) are not eligible to enter.

The promotion is conducted in New South Wales and is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

‍ ‍4. How to enter

During the Promotion Period, an Eligible Entrant will receive one entry into the draw for each qualifying order they place with a participating exhibitor at the AusPet Industry Expo 2026.

A qualifying order is a bona fide commercial order for goods and/or services that meets the minimum order value threshold determined by each participating exhibitor to receive a stamp in the AusPet Industry Expo passport:

·       placed in person at the participating exhibitor's stand during the Promotion Period,

·       excluding GST and freight, and

·       that is not subsequently cancelled, fully credited or refunded.

Participating exhibitors will issue a stamp in the Eligible Entrant's AusPet Industry Expo passport upon a qualifying order, and the Promoter will record stamped passports for the purposes of allocating entries. Entrants are not required to complete a separate entry form.

There is no limit to the number of entries an Eligible Entrant may receive, provided each entry relates to a separate qualifying order with a stamp.

Incomplete, illegible or fraudulent orders will not generate entries or stamps. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, request evidence that an order is valid and remains in force.

5. Nature of promotion

This promotion is a trade promotion lottery (game of chance).

The outcome is determined by random draw. Skill plays no part in determining the winner.

6. Prize

There is one major prize only (Prize).

The Prize will be awarded to the business/company that placed the winning order (the winning business).

The Prize is a trip for one person nominated by the winning business (the nominee) to attend SE Asia Pet Fair in Bangkok, Thailand, and includes:

·       Return economy class airfares for the nominee from the Australian capital city airport nearest to the winning business's usual business address to Bangkok, Thailand (or another airport reasonably determined by the Promoter).

·       Return airport–hotel transfers in Bangkok for the nominee.

·       Five (5) consecutive nights' accommodation in Bangkok for the nominee in a hotel rated at least 4-star (local rating or equivalent) in a standard room, on a room-only basis (or with breakfast if included by the hotel).

·       One standard entry ticket/pass for the nominee to attend SE Asia Pet Fair in Bangkok for the event dates specified by the Promoter.

‍The total maximum value of the Prize is AUD $5,000 including GST (if any), based on a departure from Sydney as at [valuation date]. The actual Prize value may vary depending on departure city, travel dates and supplier costs at the time of booking. The winning business is not entitled to any difference between the stated and actual value.

The Prize does not include travel insurance, meals, additional ground transport, visas, spending money, room upgrades, minibar, incidentals, taxes other than those included in the airfare, or any other costs not expressly stated. These costs are the responsibility of the winning business.

All travel is subject to availability and to the standard terms and conditions of the airlines, accommodation providers and event organisers.

7. Travel conditions

The nominee must be able to travel to Bangkok, Thailand on dates specified by the Promoter to coincide with the SE Asia Pet Fair [insert year] (or on alternative dates reasonably determined by the Promoter if the event is rescheduled).

Blackout periods may apply, including but not limited to Australian and Thai school holidays, public holidays and major event periods.

The winning business is responsible for ensuring the nominee holds valid passports, visas, and any other documentation required for travel, and for complying with all health, vaccination, entry and quarantine requirements of any relevant government or authority.

If the nominee does not meet travel or entry requirements, or fails to obtain required documents, the Prize (or any unused portion) may be forfeited and no compensation will be offered.

Once booked, travel arrangements may not be changed except at the discretion of the relevant travel provider, and any additional costs arising from a change will be the responsibility of the winning business.

The Promoter is not liable if SE Asia Pet Fair is delayed, postponed, moved or cancelled for any reason. If the event is cancelled, the ticket component of the Prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will not be required to substitute an alternative event; however, the balance of the travel prize will proceed where reasonably possible.

8. Draw and winner notification

The draw will take place at [time] AEDT on [draw date] at [draw location] using a random selection process, including digital randomisation software.

One (1) valid entry will be drawn at random and awarded the Prize, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these terms and conditions.

The Promoter may also draw [insert number] reserve entries and record them in order, to be used if the original winner is invalid, ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize.

The winning business will be notified by telephone and email within two (2) business days of the draw using the contact details provided at registration or via the qualifying order, and their name (and state/territory) may be published on the Promoter's website and/or social media channels.

9. Claiming the prize and unclaimed prize draw

The winning business must claim the Prize by responding to the Promoter and providing all requested details (including nominee details) by [time and date – e.g. 5:00 pm AEDT on date 3 months after draw].

Photo consent: The winning business and nominee must agree to provide photos of their attendance at SE Asia Pet Fair to the Promoter for use on social media and future AusPet Industry Expo marketing material, as the Promoter sees fit.

‍If the Prize is not claimed by that date, the Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw at [time] AEDT on [unclaimed draw date] at the same location to distribute the Prize. The first valid entry drawn will win the Prize, subject to verification.

Any winner in an unclaimed prize draw will be notified and, if required, published in the same manner as the original winner.

10. Verification and disqualification

The Promoter may, at any time, require an entrant to provide proof of identity, age, residency, business ownership/employment and/or proof that an order is a qualifying order.

The Promoter may verify orders with participating exhibitors and may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits false information or acts in a dishonest or disruptive manner.

Failure to produce proof that satisfies the Promoter may result in disqualification and/or forfeiture of the Prize.

11. Internal competitions and private travel

The winning business may conduct their own internal competition, ballot or promotion among their staff, owners or representatives to determine the nominee who will receive the Prize.

The ultimate recipient/nominee acknowledges they will be travelling as a private individual and will not be performing any paid duties as an employee or contractor of the winning business during the travel period. The nominee must take annual leave (or equivalent) as required for the duration of their travel.

Attendance at SE Asia Pet Fair is not a mandatory condition of Prize acceptance. The nominee may use the travel components of the Prize for personal travel purposes without attending the event.

12. Prize restrictions and substitution

The Prize is transferable to a party nominated by the winning business, subject to these terms and conditions.

The Prize is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash (except as transferable to the nominee).

If any element of the Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter may substitute a prize (or element of the prize) of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulator.

The nominee may not resell tickets or other components of the Prize. If the nominee cannot travel on the specified dates, the Prize may be forfeited and no cash or alternative prize will be provided, except where required by law.

13. Tax

The winning business is responsible for any tax implications (including fringe benefits tax, if applicable) arising from winning or using the Prize. Entrants should seek independent tax advice.

14. Exclusion and limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred on entrants by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.

Subject to the previous clause and to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its officers, employees, agents and contractors are not liable for any:

·       loss, damage or injury (including indirect or consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion or the Prize; or

·       loss, late, incorrectly submitted or misdirected entries or correspondence, except to the extent caused by the Promoter's negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct.

·       Travel and event attendance is at the winner's own risk. The winning business is strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance.

15. Privacy

The Promoter collects personal information about entrants for the purposes of administering the promotion, verifying eligibility, conducting the draw, communicating with entrants and winners, and, if consent is given, for marketing and promotional purposes.

If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not be able to participate in the promotion or receive the Prize.

‍Personal information may be disclosed to the Promoter's related entities, service providers (including travel agents and event organisers), participating exhibitors and regulatory authorities where required, and may be stored and processed outside Australia.

‍The Promoter's privacy policy, available at [insert URL], contains information about how entrants may access and correct their personal information and how they can complain about a breach of privacy laws and how the Promoter will deal with a complaint.

16. General

By participating, entrants accept these terms and conditions.

The Promoter may vary, suspend or cancel the promotion if it becomes unable to operate as reasonably anticipated (including due to war, terrorism, pandemic, natural disaster, labour dispute, strike, or failure of a supplier), subject to any directions from a relevant regulator and provided that the change does not materially disadvantage entrants, except where outside the Promoter's control.

If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any other material relating to the promotion, these terms and conditions prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.‍‍
